I got to visit the niece and nephew this weekend, and we got the chance to break out the crayons and some Ed Emberley drawing books.  It was silly fun.  I redid a couple of the pieces in pixels, although vectors would probably have been a better choice.

Dragon:

Pet skeleton:

So, um, a couple of doodles.

Is that a ... diglett? Quite a neat way to think of it. Would your version of a dugtrio just be a three-headed version of it or ... three of them.

Ooh. A Diglett? Didn't think of it that way, but now that I see it, I can't unsee it. Silly references. *cymbal clash for the umpteenth time*

As for the digtrio, not sure on that one. Tell you what, I might just make it if I can find a way to get that to work. Other pokémon too, if I'm not lazy. I just don't want to get too carried away with it. :P

Tiny Cortex Command, seeing how small I could get the coalition soldier designs before I lost too much clarity.
The guns were fun too.

Arne's 16colour.

INCOMING DUMP

Regardless of whether or not this is just coincidence between me and Geti considering I started this a week ago, various tiny Cortex Command inspired... things. Dropships in three sizes and even tiny factions of space-people to go with them (not including upper-leftmost). Not actual size, calm down.

Generic supervillain-ess. Made last night? I tend to draw with my head tilted when I'm on the verge of falling asleep on my keyboard.

Trying to paint with a program that (other than for spriting) does not serve its purpose very well. I think you know what. Mostly perspective problems, even if it is some sort of panorama. Looks decent if you squint, though. Maybe I'll redo this one in something else besides MS paint. Also, thanks to someone at Kuler for the palette!

Fortunately I have the GIMP! It's not the best, though. Less brush settings. But you have the basic stuff. Lighting here looks a bit flat.

...Well?

"PAPAYA BUSTER", a club flyer, busier than a busy something-something. Recycled some old unused stuff in there.

This poster makes me so happy looking at it!

By the way, is there any way to reply to a message without quoting it?

...Well?
I have no idea what this is. A disembodied bird head?

Also, GIMP isn't very good at painting from scratch, as you noticed.
I suggest MyPaint. I use it almost exclusively myself (MyPaint for actual drawing, GIMP for editing/production touches.).

Yes. It's on the bar at the bottom of the page.
If you insist on being pessimistic about your own abilities, consider also being pessimistic about the accuracy of that pessimistic judgement.
