My two favorite artists of all time happen to be M.C. Escher and Salvador Dali. < Greatness.

My two favorite artists of all time happen to be M.C. Escher and Salvador Dali. < Greatness. 

I too, love their works. M.C. Escher has become somewhat an icon in illusionary art. Appeals to me on both aesthetic and technical levels.
I don't know, there are so many good artists out there...

Dali and Escher are two of my favorites as well.  I have books and books of both of their works, and Escher's lectures in transcript.

I tend not to favor artists so much as individual pieces, however other artists that moved me enough times for me to remember them are Caravaggio, Albrecht Durer, and a few of the first american portrait painters (we're talking like colonial times here)
