Seems a little early for crit; looks preliminary. What do you have planned for this scene?

Cool dragon design. It's very dark; doesn't pop. This is part of a set I assume. Details get lost in grainyness.

Hey tunafish, great work. I love the shaky painful straining wobble he does as he walks because it's so expressive, but I agree with souly, it's so novel you'll tire of it quickly and it becomes excessive. I think souly "fixed" it. Maybe you can just slow him down some.

Overall, the old animation just looks like he's being cautious, and the new one acheives your goal of him being under strain/weight.

Wow, nice C64 usage! Aren't the eyes a little lop-sided? - left eye seems to have drifted upward or vice versa. Sloth like Baby Ruth? (hopefully you don't get that reference, haha)

Make the "smoke trails" transparently blend into eachother like the valvoline or ebay logo, which introduce a new spot color where shapes overlap. If anything, do something to make them less solid and more wispy and light.

Oh, it's that soul reaver dude, I thought it was a soldier until now. Correct, I hadn't this thread, just skimmed it a few times prior to today. He's much more recognizable now.

At least you have your priorities in check, which is more than I could've said at your age.

Go check out what ol' Bob has done now. New video up - he went to New York to litter in Gantendo's big NY storefront.

A thought on the bg environment, since you expanded it, give it mood - deck it out in organic alienish monster surfaces/objects, think of what the aliens from the sci-fi "Alien" would do to a ship's interior when taken over and converted into nesting grounds - there was people cocooned up in nasty alien growth stuff, organic pipes, tubes, random living tumorous material everywhere. Think Giger. Jabba here would probably feel more at home, too.

Pixel Art / Re: WIP Game turrain tile

. . .been working on a game rock cliff tile that will hopfully be able to use on a range of turrains like grass and sand ect.

Good improvement. Are you thinking of doing a palette swap to use this same tile for multiple surface types?

Looks like a rocky mountainside. Maybe try less rounded, more angular. That'll give a more rigid rocky feel. Less dither for a less sandy look, more solid.

If this is supposed to be flat walkable ground, I'd make it less bumpy.
