I actually think, by intentional, he means that he did the checker pattern by hand, just for effect.
but real transparency would be pretty nice for a future cllaboration.

Ah, humbug. I have to return 76, apparently my pixel time needs to be spent house hunting.

Next time I'll join in earlier so as to avoid so many side pieces - this is harder than I thought! Colours are interesting enough, but when you have people all around you using it in different ways, some with dithering, some with barely any aliasing.. it's weird! Really, really weird.
