I only pray that lucasarts gets off their collective asses and port every last one of their awesome point&click adventure games to the DS. If I could have Day of the Tentacle DS I would be the happiest little boy- man ever.

Well I doubt Lucasarts would do that (I wanna play Loom again!) but there's this in the meantime. An emulator for the DS to play those games \o/ and apparently uses the stylus too. Now...If only I had a flashcart...
Holy shit! Fucking awesome! God, I love emulators so much! ;D ;D ;D

It's stuff like this that makes me think that Sony could sell a shitload of PSPs by secretly financing a bunch of nintendo emulator projects for PSP. The emulators for GBA and DS are cool, but if your a pixel perfectionist-type then it just ain't the same unless you can play a SNES or NES rom without a squashed screen that dicks up the art. The PSP is also perfect in that it's dead simple to hook up to a computer, or at least that's what all the stories about people putting porn on their PSPs have lead me to believe.

I was sitting in the car driving home from the shore from a long day of rough tubing and we started conversing about the DS and good games they could make.  It was like a think tank.

(Note: Some of these ideas may have been said yet, I don’t care)
(Note2: We started thinking if they brought over a Super Mario 64+ from N64 what other games should they bring?)

StarCraft  : think about it, they could control it the same way they did on pc, with just a point and click screen, it would be perfect.  Wireless multiplayer up to 8 people.  2 cartridge game, 1st one has single player 2nd has multiplayer, just so Brood War items can be put in.

Warcraft : ^^ pretty much same as above.

StarFox 64 : picture this if any of you remember the Starfox 64 level where you protect the pyramid and that giant ship comes in and releases all those little fighter ships and it’s a huge war?  Just picture a gigantic war.  Two teams the Fox team and the Andross team.  You just have a huge war.  You wouldn’t even need the touch screen to play.  Use the d pad for aiming and A to shoot B for bombs and L and R for rolls.

Any point and click game : Myst, Syberia, CSI: Dark Motives… ECT

They could probably bring back any N64 game.  Heck I would buy it cept Crusin USA, fun at the time just you couldn’t turn around.
…er I’m too tired to think of the others, I’ll see em tomorrow and we shall roast up some more.

Speaking of Starcraft, where in the hell is Starcraft2? ( Not Starcraft: Ghost )

All I've heard: the system's good and all, and has a great deal of potential, but most of the notable games seem to be Nintendo's own titles. Is development hardware (flash cartridge type stuff) readily accessible yet? I'm wondering how/if/when a pixel art app could appear.
This is due to the fact that Nintendo always has been very protective of their hardware details and devkits. To this day, you CANNOT get a devkit without providing a list of previously published games, evidence of the security of your facilities, proof of a large staff and a large cash investment. Almost all of what could be called 'indie' development on Nintendo consoles is entirely the result of reverse engineering.

It's a shame. If Nintendo was more open.. offered people training courses (hey, there's a way they could make some cash!), and made the darn thing accessible, they'd be more successful overall. Licensing might be there to 'safegaurd', but it tends to safegaurd Nintendo more than it does the public. That seal of quality isnt what it used to be! Bad games still get made, but the license stifles competition, or in this case, an actual presence of varied titles for a still young system...

Anychance I can still buy a GameShark?  Ive checked all stores near my home, (25 mile radius) none have it.  I rather not use EBAY because I dont have the patience to wait for them to ship it to me.  EBAY takes to long.  Is there an online store that would have it?  Where i can get next day shipping?  Because im to lazy to earn the cheats in Starcraft 64 by beating the really long missions.  Sigh...
