personally, I'm not so sold on the square smilies, I guess it comes down to they don't personify as well as classic circle smilies.
I know its a minor difference, but the square shape registers before the expression for me.
And I don't really have any smilies made I'd prefer over the ones we currently have, well I do have a set I use in some forums with really bad smilies, I mainly just use these ones though:
(quoted so the AA doesn't look so bad)
might give someone some inspiration or ideas... and at the moment my favourites would be the ones snake and faceless made
