Talking about havin' fun in class, my and a friend of mine made puppets and treated the rows behind us to shows during biology. I ended up coming 2nd of my year for biology 
on a side note, these damn copy protected cds allow me to copy songs but then add a nice crackle into the background.
You could just get a free recording program like Audacity, then play a track from the CD while recording it with Audacity through the Wave Out mix.
And on a side note: there are many great americas, but I live in the midwest, so the closest one is in northern Illinois.
