[WIP] Anime head

i haven't posted anything here in awhile, but I'll probably be posting more considering i want to move away from sprites for awhile and focus more on bigger pieces.

anyways, I'd like some help with this since i haven't done anything like this in awhile.

here's a small update i forgot to post last night. I didn't add very much, but i cleaned up most of the lines.

I think the volume of hair is too small for this head.

any better? i made the hair a *bit* bigger, and tried shading (im not done yet, still need to add highlights)... but it looks like shit. i really need to practice hair more. =P

hair is all pillow rendered instead of having a clear light source. makes it looks wrong.

pillow rendered? i have a lightsource, the top left...ish area. but if anyone thinks it's pillowed i'll try to fix it.

To make it more anime, are you going to add that lighter shine that wobbles through the hair?

Also, maybe tweak the hair just a bit. Not sure on what, but I know it needs something.

yeah, i said i still need to do highlights. and i'll try messing around with the hair.

The hairs do not seem pillow shaded to me.

You might want to get rid of that horizontal line on the right which is separating the two back spikes from the other hairs. I think it ruins the haircut.
