NES stuff

on: September 15, 2005, 05:01:59 am
i dunno if this is really the place to do it, but ill start with a bit of my pixeling background. i first
got interested in pixeling/spriting when i was starting to program some simple games, which lead
to me wanting to make my own sprites. i was a member of pixelation for a while, i didnt post
many pieces, but i drifted around the forums quite a bit.

ok thats enough of that, onto the post.

heres some of my older better work...

(sorry about the "non-transparencyness" of those two  >_> )

comments? crits? all will be appreciated.

Well, I think the perspective on the nes is a little unusual.  It seems like the lines shouldn't go straight back, but rather, should be slanted inward slightly like so /    \

It looks pretty cool tho

That controller eerily looks like one I did a while ago.
I know you didn't copy me and I didn't copy you it's a controller its free game.  I just find it creepy..  I think the SNES came out the best, plus on the gun fix the shading on the handle
I should tell you yet I think you know now, never save pixel art as a JPEG unless it is at 100% quality even still...  Might do an edit...

I would recommend making the highlight of the gun controller's red color to a more yellowish orange. The others can be basic. I totally love the pixel work you made. Good work
