I'm doing this piece for the World Cup finals. I'll probably do Cannavarro behind Trezeguet.
And add a ball of course =P.

Pretty cool so far. Are you French? If so congrats from Germany.

If I'd change anything I'd take away some contrast from the pants. The buldge there really grabs the attention in an annoying way somehow  .
I think there should be a smaller value/hue range for the legs as well.

... is he supposeed to look as if he's jumping btw.? The pose kinda reads "standing".

I knew from looking at that, he would be Trezeguet.. so nice work on the likeness.
It's really wonderful work, the palette is just right, the pose is great - I like everything about it. Best of luck in the Final.

 The shading on the shirt is impressive there. I like it. I am not really good with cloth shading myself, but I'd say that looks professional. The lines I say should be smoothen. You can use black outlines or selout, but I say smoothen them out to look better. Hail teh WC 2k6!

i like the colours on this one, but i agree it looks a lot more like standing than midway through a jump.

I changed the contrast on the pants, and tried to do a hue change on the legs and other parts.
And if you know how to make him look as he was in the middle of a jump, please help me? =)

Great update! Can't wait to see how this evolves. You are not going to stop working on this after the finals, are you?

Tried something ... not sure what to think about it. IMO while the waist up area read jumping the legs read standing.
Guess some more tension in the body might help. That is what I tried. I didn't clean it up after moving and rotating parts ...
it is just supposed to show what I had in mind.
I think there might be a perspective issue with his left leg ... maybe it is shown from the side too much.

Looks like he's got really short femurs (femii?). I also agree with Andy in that he looks like he's standing rather than jumping. His crotch is...big. >_>. But I dunno if that's really what he's like 'cause I don't watch soccer. <_<.
Anyway, the upper body looks good, and the wrinkles are very wrinkly.
