I'm loving these. It appears that you are being very faithful to the structure of the Super Brother's style. My only critic is the number of colors you are using. It appears, hard to tell with out pixel source, that you are using 3-5 shades for many of the colors. It gives a blurred almost pillow shaded look sometimes. I wonder if they would look crisper with fewer colors.
