[WIP] 1 bit tiny pixel drawing

on: February 03, 2010, 02:42:42 pm
hello, people  :)
really interested in drawing simplest 1 bit things like that man below.
may be someone know how to make it looking better, and how to transport the pose and the emotions using a small amout of free space, and only 2 colours.
please, help me to fix him, all advises and hard critiques are welcome ;D

a viewer must see a man sitting on a chair with his left leg lying on the right one, and also he is holding a mug of tea in his right hand.
help this man to get closer to the discription :)

oh, later that picture can become an animation, so please any advises in that topic too

I don't know, looks pretty clear to me that the other leg is crossed over the right leg's thigh.

Haha, yeah I partially see it as some kind of vampire dude with a cape who's leaning back in mid-air sipping some coffee, sanguinely  ... ... '  D   '

But yes, is there a way to make the front legs of the chair show too? Cause although the pose is clear the chair still looks weird.

Everything also seems to vary in proportion, his body actually has mass but the arm holding the cup is just a stick? More consistency would be good, I think

thanks guys :)
will try to fix the chair and his hands as soon as i'll get some free time.

by the way, may be the animation will fix some things about his weird face?
because actually in different frames a viewer will know more about the features of his face, body and ect.

oh, about the chair too. the kind of the chair was selected normally? and a mug also. it looks just like a rectangle! don't really know how to fix

and.. omg, he is a true vampire  :o

Sorry this is the best I can do and it took me about an hour to even do that :(  I have like seven other horrible attempts too...  Good luck on getting the chairs front leg in the picture without messing up the readability of the pose.

Oh and for some reason the image is like not at x1 zoom and it's making his face look fat.  Hopefully it's because I'm in the preview.  I'm using Firefox 3.6 and the blur fix.

[edit]eeer...there doesn't seem to be a way to even get to 1x zoom at least for me, hoping everyone else can see it properly.  If all else fails just right click and view image
