I'm not really an established pixel artist but from what I see the bill of the hat needs to be larger, it just doesnt seem like the bill is in proper proportion to the rest of the hat.

Just a quick fix: on the very right side of the nose, there's a two-pixel thick black line. I don't know how noticeable it really is, but personally it bugs me.

Good work so far though, looks authentic. (And will look even more so when you're done with the shading on the nose! ;D)

The hat looks like it's made out of cardboard compared to the depth of Yoshi's head. Otherwise, nice update  :y:

That's really something, CeeY. :D

2 problems I see:
hat
background

1: The hat's red parts should definetly be blinded in more. And it really looks like cardboard, just like Mush said. Maybe someone else can tell you how to fix that. (cuz I don't know)

2: The background is too dark. I hate when people make dark backgrounds. >:(
Let the sun shine in, and the peice will look better.

I don't think you've listened to peoples' advice on the hat too much. His head looks fine. His hat...CARDBOARD.

Until you decide to fix it, I'm calling you 'Cardboard Man'.

That blobby pattern on the yoshi is a bit distracting. It worked in the previous update rather nicely because it was balanced out by the unpatterned, work-in-progress part. I think you should try to achieve a little more of that balance.

Here are my two cents.

I really think that hat is horrid.
The yoshi is pretty cool but the hat...
The perspective is off, he has an imaginary huge head in your version, or at least it looks like this at the angle the hat is on.

His cheek is also a bad gathering of banding.
banding is when 2 colors practically hug eachother.
This is an example of basically over AA, and banding.
Though I'm no guru on banding as I'm sure I actually did plenty of it in the edit I did for you.
You tried to smooth out that cheek line it seems and you over did it a bit much.

I made an edit though my cheek is rough you can see how I tried to break the solid lines.
Also, I noticed you jumped straight to textured nose before doing your volumes.
I'm wondering if you worked from a solid shaded sphere or if you just shoved the texture/shading on at the same time.

Thanks for the critique everyone :>
I tried to listen to everything Souly said. Now that I have the hat perspective correct, i need help on how to shade it. I still seems pretty plain to me, so can anyone help me. I also cleaned up some of the shading, and the nose.

I haven't had a lot of time to work on it these past few weeks, so I'm getting back to it now.
