I did an edit of your little fighter to show some of the problems it has:
First of all, I think that it currently reads more as a metalfan playing air guitar then a guy ready to figth.
Also his arms looks like they're made of rubber, and bend in weird ways.
What I did in my edit:
- gave him knees(his lack of knees made his legs too short)
- Edited his chest/stomache area Don't really knwo what was going on there.
- Quick edit on the face, since it consist of one huge eye...
- I introduced contrast, and changed the colors in his skin, since atm they seemed a bit too yellow and uninteresting.
Also i think you would benefit from looking at this:
1.is similar to what you have now with the highligth 'hugging' the outlines.
2.is how ligth should flow.
