Atatat Death -WIP-

Inspired by a couple of doodles I've done at school:

The character and bubbles and thing sticking out of the ground look sweet (I sepecially like the black oily-looking stuff.) but everything else looks waay unfinished. it could be much better if you put more time into the background. Some seaweed, perhaps, and a fish with a wacky expression? Add some psycho-cool reflection to the surface, and a crab with another wacky expression on the seabed. That'd make it something worth looking at time and time again. Now I just glance at it and have seen everything in it.

Haha, actually, the reason that it looks unfinished is because it is.
That's pretty much why I have "-WIP-" in the title.

It's pretty sweet , you got the dirty shading look alright, i like the technique and the colors you used as well, and the "messy" outlines as well. The thing on the bottom of the sea (is it a keyboard and a mouse?) could use a bit more definition, it's a bit "vague", hard to tell what it is. Maybe you could shape the clouds in the same dirty style as the character, i think it would look good. Keep going and finish this, dude.

And yes, that is a mouse and keyboard. I'll try to add more definition, maybe I'll hafta make'em a bit bigger. And yeah, I'll redo the clouds eventually too.

What style of cloud fits better?

The cloud with the black outline pops out more, which might not be such a good thing if you want the focus to remain on the head, body, and fishy/whale. Awesome stuff, I love how out of focus the inky outlines seem. Really nice effect.
