Walking cat (need help with animation)

on: May 31, 2009, 10:18:53 am

У меня есть 256 цветов, максимум 8 кадров, и очень мало опыта.
Мне нужна помощь.

(sorry for my bad english)
I have 256 colours, a maximum of 8 frames, and not enough experience.
The help is necessary to me.

Ah, sorry for my poor english...

To me, don't looks that it's walking, but that is "dancing" :s

Maybe if you draw the moving leg more at front and stoped leg more dark and far '-'

It's quite cute but I think it would look better without the internal black outlines : try using colors that look more like the rest of your palette or no outlines at all.

The animation is great except I think the arm bends on one of the frames which looks unnatural.

tail seems too short to me.
you're actually stretching the arm when you bend it :P

Might be the shadows you have around the shoulder that make it look "jumpy".

The arm still bends a bit in the forward swing which makes it look unnatural, swing your arm and notice how it stays straight through the entire swing. Try this:

The tail looks like it just changes shape, I think it would look better if you can make it swing side to side...I'll try to illustrate what I'm talking about and will post back.

It looks like he's ice skating. He should bend his knees at some point in a walk
