Isometric Knight

on: April 01, 2009, 04:21:01 pm
Hi everyone !
I've been playing to Head Over Heels remake recently, and it just had the envy to make some iso.
The remake
The Amstrad original game

I had an eye at some iso references (Adarias/Ndchristie of course), and here is my first result :

I got a critique about it and I had to rework entirely the iso view and the anatomy of it.
Here is it so far *(The animated gif is a before/after animation)* :

C&C highly appreciated, thanks =)

Hi everyone !
I made kind of an evolve of my knight in a defensive way :

I think I'll work on an evolve tree like so :
                     Knight -> Paladin = Defense
Swordman ->
                     Barbarian -> Berserker = Attack

Very nice :y:

I give you a lot of credit for not just mirroring them. Thats what I would have done :lol:

On the top knight ( on the left ), the hammer looks a bit like its part of the foot. Also the mid-section does not read very well, looks like his arms are crossed or something. The towers on his helmet needs to be changed to something else I think.

On the bottom one the sword looks more like a club on the end. Needs more work to show its a blade.

I think you should mirror booth sides so he hold his sword in his right arm. Right now he is holding his shield at his right arm and his sword in his left

Why? Just hating on left handed people?

Frosty, this great work. Only problem I see is the hammer. It looks like it's has a really narrow head. Almost an ax shape. A more cylindrical shape should help.

Did you notice Link is holding his sword in his left hand in most if not all Zelda games?
