It's looking pretty sweet so far! Not much to say currently as it's not far into being done but I love the colours so far. Touch it up a bit more and I'll give you some better crits.

Make the "smoke trails" transparently blend into eachother like the valvoline or ebay logo, which introduce a new spot color where shapes overlap. If anything, do something to make them less solid and more wispy and light.

i'll try to make the smoke look better when im done focusing so much on the actual face so for now here's a slight update

Well, the area between his eyes is kind of confusing. I can't tell what's going on around there... is he furrowing his brow? Does he have a nose? I think you should clean up that bit to make it more readable.

Love the geometric shapes on his forehead and cheek, though.
