WIP Game turrain tile

Hi there :) Alrighty i have been working on a game rock cliff tile that will hopfully be able to use on a range of turrains like grass and sand ect.
Ok so here is what i have so far:


2 versions, both not to great, what could i do to improve them =p

I'd say vary the size of the rocks more. Right now it looks like a field of wheat, almost.

Good improvement. Are you thinking of doing a palette swap to use this same tile for multiple surface types?

Looks like a rocky mountainside. Maybe try less rounded, more angular. That'll give a more rigid rocky feel. Less dither for a less sandy look, more solid.

If this is supposed to be flat walkable ground, I'd make it less bumpy.
