Crystal skull thingy?

Okay, so I finally found some inspiration, and did a skull.
First, it looked like somewhat a bunny, then I changed it from a human colored skull (couldnt find enough good colors for it) and then made it greenish-blue. Then I tried to add some highlights, but that looked more like the skull got the dust layer of it scraped off, which made it look pretty decent and now I'd like some c&c.

Looks pretty cool. The main thing I see is that it looks like you ran out of room on your canvas and just flattened the top of the skull. The eyes should be halfway between the bottom of the chin and the top of the head, and since you have no bottom chin you just estimate. Here is the skull with a complete top of the skull (I didn't do any shading on it):



You could probably even make the top bigger, but I think you get the idea.

Ah! Thanks. In fact, I didnt run out of canvas, I made it flat from the beggining(when I start with something round, it ends up retarded xD).
However, I will fix this problem, and also might change a few bits, like adding eyes and such.

I suggest looking up the crystal skull (aka.. maya's etc)

Although said this, it's kind of hard to get a feel for volume as it's transparent.



Otherwise, maybe look for metal skull

Ugh.... I guess you're right. Although, I have actually started remaking it(as a metal skull this time lolz), and I need help with the highlight.. I cant get it to work, any tuts on this stuff?

Sorry 'bout the double post.
However I've made a major update on this skull.
I removed more of the dirty colors and added eyes, bottom jaw, cigarette and some shading and highlights.

Yet, its still a wip.
