Hey Andre,

Looking quite good. I think you are giving a good amount of detail on each sprite for how little they are, and it's very readable. I have two suggestions:

Remove the interior black lines. They work on the outside to help define the sprite, but on the inside they just eat up pixel real-estate, which you have little of. I quickly removed the interior black lines, just so you can see if you like it:

Next, I just got done in another thread saying that i am against using the idle frame in a walking animation, but I actually think it would make your current walk a little smoother! Well, try it and see if it works for you.

Also, "What's all about?!" is not grammatically correct. Perhaps you meant, "What's this all about?".

Keep up the good work!

Well, yeah you mean below.
Whats happening to the bottom of the character after he defeats the dragon? He lookd like he's getting a hard on. Don't blame him though, I would if I killed a Dragon XD

Lmao!

Yeah.. Why does the wind only affect the character until after he defeats the dragon? Or does the wind just happen to start up at that time, it is kind of weird..

Also, you're going to have to be patient with replies.

I'm guessing it's just for the victory pose, for dramatic effect.

Andre, when he stabs with his lance, try redrawing the whole thing. Make him really lunge out there. It doesn't look very dynamic or a bit realistic when a only few elements of a picture move, and everything remains static. I know it will seem like a lot of effort at first, but it's worth it.  :y:

The "Victory pose" read as pelvic thrusting at first, to me!

Not that that's a bad thing. Personally, I think games need more characters violently pelvic thrusting after they accomplish something awesome.

he doesn't look very berzerk. he looks pretty tame, actually. i would try making his pose a little more dramatic

Indeed I guess I was quite sad in the word choice...Berzerk wasn't a good word

I rather use the expression "Focusing energy for a blasting attack" haha guess it will be less inapropriate

it's just the animation for the moment when you press the"X" buttom for 2 seconds to develop an devasting attack on the enemy, for an example

How about something simple like "Charged attack" or "Heavy attack" ???

Animations are a bit boring, redraw every frame(not every part of every frame but the bits that should move), you might feel like its a lot of work to move his chest or legs a little during movement but its not that hard or time consuming if you know what you want, do the movement in real life, find out what major parts of your body move(at this size focus on the shoulders). And then try replicating in the sprite, it sounds a bit complicated, but in practice it amounts to moving the arms a few pixels to the side.

Also the dragon is in a different perspective to the character, you would probably see more of the its back.

okay

Like I said before, the animations are really too static. Are you using some kind of visual equipment method where items are drawn on top of the character? If not, (and I would advise you not to) then there's no reason not to go all out, is there? :) Make a new sprite for every frame. Do as little copying and pasting as possible.

>
But before you fix up your animations, there's something else that no one has commented on. Your base upon which to make them isn't strong. I did a quick color reduction and placed a few pixels to illustrate what you should be aiming for - clarity. You had too many colors, many of which were too close to each other. You hue shifted, and that's a good practice, but the colors really never escaped any further than a few ticks in relation to the base color on hue, saturation, or luminosity. At this size, you only need to define the major areas of light and darkness.

didthis in a few minutes with one take no edits so it's not very good, but just as an example of how you might move the character a bit more..

something between them then?  mine is overdramatised to make the most of the size, but yours hardly wiggles.  take something in your hand like a wrench or a small pipe, a foot or so long and about 2 pounds, and set yourself up in front of a mirror.  thrust forward with the strength to kill a man.  now thrust forward as though you're BERSERK.  watch how much you move :).
