Dino game (Not really named yet)

on: November 01, 2008, 04:36:55 pm
So i got an idea for a game after playing Dino Run by pixeljam games, and here's the results as of yet:

I like the angle, but feel free to tear it apart. I'm going to have pretty washed out colors here, so it may seem dull atm. Thats also why i'm working on gray.

First layer of the background. Loops perfectly, i think.  ^-^

Ideas? i have some so far, but it's going to be hell to pixel it all since i'm not that good yet. Really, i want help on this. Hard crits, please!  :D
EDIT: heres the background looping:

I got some crits somewhere else, here's an update:

Better? worse? i did the 1px line just to see, really. Takes away from the realism is was trying to get, though.

I like everything about the first version better. Dithering is not a good idea at this small scale! It just looks like noise!

Good news is I really like the first version. :) Mountains are nice too. The highlights could maybe use a little cleaning up though....

I can't tell which way he's facing. I mean, his head is looking to the right, okay, but which way does he move?
