Lizard

on: October 08, 2008, 03:56:55 pm
Yeah, in my environmental science class i was doodling, and i somewhat drew a picture of a stickman pointing into the hills. I then thought it would be a good idea to use it as my piece for the challenge. The creature, is meant to represent acceptance.

so far..

Any comments and critques, on colours, shading etc would be appreciated ;D

Pillowshaded. And I don't see how this would be abstract.

Abstract challenge? What's this?

Anyway, emtch is right. Abstract art means that there are no forms that you could recognize as something actual, like human-like forms, objects, enviroments etc. If you mean surreal, then yes, this could be a surreal piece.

It's flat. Work on volumes and shadows before you start texturing!
