the color combinations you use make it look like a zombie.
kind of resembles art by a color-blind person.
id suggest studying some color theory..
other than that, it looks pretty good pixel wise, but the colors are somewhat messing with the visual representation/translation of the forms,shapes..

It was basically one big experiment with the colours, there was no theory behind it, I just used the colours based off of what looked darker and what I thought fit.

Could you direct me too a good site for learning colour theory?

EDIT:

well I found a good topic these forums for learning it and well this is what happened:

Also I hate the trousers but I'm happy with the body.

EDIT2: I just realized I messed up the colours, here is the better version:

id say the original has better color choices than these new ones..
you're going to have to re-pixel parts of it and not just swap out old colors with new ones. this i sbecause at the moment, you basically have each color used throughout the image and by having such harsh changes in the hues on general shapes, the different hues begin to define their own seperate things, causing the general shapes to become lost.

I did another edit but the site was down so I couldn't post it until the morning...

I will change what you said, but I prefer this version:
