CrazyCroc

on: March 23, 2008, 05:01:11 pm

hoping for som feedback over the whole piece
but the aspects I'm struggling with are  the background plants, waterfall rocks, and water...
i'm now at 19 colors i think and would like to stay under 24...

Thank you, born2die

small update tweakend some thing on the creature and started the waterfall, but i have no idea what i'm doing on those waterfall rocks

Actually I think the water flow in your previous version looks more natural... Absolutely love the design on the Crocodile, make sure you don't detail the greens in the background too much, as right now the croc stands out really nice and it'd be a waste if it gets blurred with the background.

small update once again, made the waterflow more realistic I hope
and amde the plant in the background stand out less

webstar tryed removing the outlines but the croc blended in with the background a little to much, so decided to keep te outlines

The creek looks fantastic, the character, however, looks overwhelmingly flat. Some of that is the geometry that is created by the lines, some of it is the shading/consideration for lighting, or lack thereof. Has potential, though, off to a great start.

thank you for the feedback.

since ur the second one to point out the black outline, I desided to give it another shot and changed the lighting and shadows on the creature. how ever I have not yet changed them on the head, so the light on the head is still coming from the wrong direction, Still have to change that  :ouch:

please if there is anything, anything at all tell me :) here to learn and to improve
