hmm everything looks great, except that weird purple AA, this does not smooth out the image, if anything it draws the eyes to the jagged..blue areas in the image. I notice this especially around the eye.

I'm not going to pretend this is a small task either; certainly none of us here can claim to have accomplished it.  it's the realm of masters.  still, it's what we all have to try for.

Can i see your ref for picard? His shoulders look to wide right there, i knew they were wide, but not that wide. Also you have a patch of really dark shading along the left of his face when that appears to be the direction fo the light source. : \ The light blue striping also doesn't look right along the left side of his uniform. But again i'd need to look at your referance for that. But on the whole good job, just some nit picky things so far. : )

(Oh and STAR TREK FTW!)

i have no real crits right now, except that the thing bit has very little depth - try some atmospheric perspective

also, i think you and willfaulds should have a pow-wow on portraits; between his color sense and your volume sense you two could teach each other a lot

he's revisiting an old piece, the reference for which was always present.  most of us have been here long enough to remember the old one and the source, so i doubt there was any intentional misleading on zoso's part.
