Testing Game Animation

Hello.
I’m doing some animated sprites for a game. I would like to test them in real-time. Are there some utilities fast-of-use that could allow me to load the graphics and play with them with a joystick/keyboard? If I remember well someone has already shown me an online tool like this some years ago, but well, I forgot the website
…
Thanks!

GameMaker is a very easy way to do just this, with simple interfaces for the non-programmer.

A mistake is a mistake.
The same mistake twice is a bad habit.
The same mistake three or more times is a motif.
