Perspective, uncomfortable leg position, center of gravity. The head/chest perspective seems to suggest a rabbit's eye view of the robot, but the feet are straight-on and in a strange mid-sitting position which is transitional and not a good pinup shot. The robot is right now off-centre and leaning back, looks like it's dodging something. All these things can be fixed by changing the legs, especially the right leg. The crop is't very good either, I'd put robo and 2308 on the same line and move the whole scene higher so I can draw the full legs also for two reasons: robot legs are fun, and 2: it's a sign of amateurism to cut off characters at the ankles.

i normally love dark images.. but this is too dark, up the contrast in the light department!

and yeah, as helm said, cutting the ankles makes it look a bit amateurish, like when i draw and i run out of paper and get half a character...

also the chest plate just looks odd

keep at it :p

Adjusted the levels a to make it a bit brighter, redrew the legs, arranged things and tried to attach the chest better...
...and poof

I feel the picture is much better now, big thanks for the input.

allrighty, stuff done with legs

Tried adding a detail to convey the left leg position better, though it still feels a bit iffy and hard to read, so here's how it's supposed to be.

Seems to me the perspective of the shoulders is too extreme or that he is leaning to his right. I think robots wouldn't need to lean since they are made of metal, not bone and human stuff. I think it would look better without the lean and a highlight on his right ear too. Maybe light on gun should light up leg more.

Modern artists are told that they must create something totally original-or risk being called "derivative".They've been indoctrinated with the concept that bad=good. The effect is always the same: Meaningless primitivism

The lean is within acceptable limits right now, I'm happy with the current posture. Good job.

Maybe it would it would be a bit cliche, but a bit of red underlighting from the lower right might make this more interesting and less monochromatic looking. What's there I really like tho.

If the robot's capable of pivoting its torso, then it makes sense for it to lean that way. It is carrying the hyuge gun in that hand :P.
