Mmf. Having trouble with the lips. I also don't know how to make it not boring.

I think you used one too many colors when you did the shading on the back of his head.  Three maybe even two shades would be good.  Also i think this piece could really benefit from some good old fashion dithering. Plus i don't really see much of a problem with the lips but thats just my opinion.
The ear need work  :lol:

The only thing I did with this piece was change the shape of the ear:


Now it has a Lobule, and a Triangular Fossa.  :crazy:

Oops, it does.


The problem now is that it looks like the ear has light going straight through to the other side, radiating off of the skin.

Ornust that looks kind of worse.
I reshaped and shaded the ear a bit and dithered maybe a bit too much but i think the ear is in the right place just needs to look like it has a lobe.

Now not as tired as I was, I see the error of my huge, misplaced ear. I've probably learned something about proportion from this thread.

But do you think that the human head is that rough? I mean, come on.. look at this guy!
