Had to give this one a try :D



Thought I'd also try and make a tank of sorts. It turned out to be a slightly more tedious task with all those tiny details.



I have a feeling I've missed the point here, though  :crazy:

Awesome stuff Arachne, but in the tank, are all the wheels touching the ground? Seems to me like the two outsidest ones are up in the air.

had this thread in mind last night and drew some ships in what i thought at the time was donpachistyle, heh...now that i see the donpachi sprites i notice my lack accuracy...fun thing to do anyway. great sprites all

Too dark mah boiiiii, not enough colors aswell, I still like the designs though.

They were supposed to be further behind rather than above, but I see how that can be confusing. Here's an edit where I've leveled the wheels, and I also tried to make the middle section larger so that it would seem less like three separate units. :)

I sort of figured that may have been the intention, but I think what was confusing the image was the way the guns (I assume those round metallic thingies are guns?) were set. The guns closest to the treads look like they should be sitting on top of the central portion, and the tread sections appeared to follow their vertical height, hence the confusion. :) New one nixes the confusion, but now the construction seems at odds with DDP's style (horizontally elongated, as opposed to chunky, or vertically elongated).

The techy bits look awesome though.
