Looks promising, although the background really takes away since it's so close to the colors you've used.
Try to break up the black lines inside the sprite.

Update!
NO stroke of wing.
Just 3 modes in which it can fly:
Forward
Fast forward
Slow backwards
just mirrored shading, will fix that later
