Thanks for the help and encouragement! Here's a version to address the issues mentioned:
Changed the palette for more contrast.
Added a highlight for the sweater.
Speeded up the run.
Icedemon: Nice tip on animating the hair, hadn't planned it but sure will.
Xion: better now?
mccow28: yeah, the left arm needs rework. It was basically rushed, because it's mostly hidden behind the body and i didn't want to add too much detail before i flesh him out.
kakikukeko: Hope i didn't go overboard with contrast and focal points now...
mangust: the change in animation speed corrected the look of heaviness, i hope? I don't think i need to cut down frames, although i could... If such, i'd rather correct the ones i have. (The game engine allows for a customized animation speed, as it should
