would be nice if your .gif paused on the last frame, or you included a pic of the last frame without animation.  the main problem with the outline is the lack of understanding of facial structure.  outlines are actually pretty easy when you know what you're doing!   bust out that sketchbook and start practicing, cuz it is going to take you a while, and no matter how many people fix your outline, if you can't draw the outline properly you definitely will not be able to color it properly!

your first one was based to small of a refrence.  you need a bigger one.

your second one has anime-idus.  triangles for chin and wierd shapes for eyes.  just a guess, but did you go to deviant art and look at some peoples digipaintings...

bers has a firm grip on anatomy, you should base your pixel on his edit.

Anatomy is fundamental for any kind of art.  You need to go get a book on anatomy and spend some time with a pencil and sketchbook.  Pixel art is not easier than any other kind of art.  You cannot get by with a poor understanding of anatomy when drawing people ever.

I think pixel art is harder than other art.... I have no acces for anatomy books for the moment.... anyway I've used google....

@ eck: Nope... used my own head ( I don't look like that though)... I painted lots of manga in my younger days... may be the cause...

anyway I have made some more faces.... I like number 3 the most...

number 4 is just an edit of number 3...

C&C?

Bers is a good reference indeed... I have seen things I never thought of before

Thank you all!
