[help needed] scott-like character

hello guys ! I was doing a sprite similar to the scott pilgrim game characters, but I can't get it to look good :



I'm really disatisfied with how the tie look, I think the eyes need works as well but I can't get this straight.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot !

i would bring the collar down pass his shoulders, give a little more neck line
