With your the wings don't quite bend correctly at the elbow, making it more of a wave than a flap.

Your animation looks really great, but I can only use 3 different frames, and yours is 4. Anyway, I did another one in the shapes you suggested, and although it doesn't animate as nice as yours, it looks much better than before. Thanks.

I would recommend taking out the middle frame in the downstroke, thus having the animation be: wings up, wings down, wings middle.  That will give the downstroke more force and actually look like the bat is trying to push itself up rather than just idly flapping.  Otherwise, nice progress.

@robalan: although the animation would look better, this is how the game animates the sprite (1,2,1,3), so that's how it's gonna be. And thanks for the comment!
