SunsetBird

on: January 22, 2007, 06:36:50 pm
For some reason the heating isn't working here so i'm freezinggkkk... ???
hurrrr. Started sketching some clouds, figured i'd add a character there pointing at something, after which it looked kinda silly, so i added the boid.

Anyway, first time posting my stuff, so here goes:

[EDIT]
Oh i see it now, thanks. Didn't realize before that i could mix the outline in this kind of manner.
Also noticed the really big squares in the clouds and smoothed them out.

[EDIT]
smoothed out some areas and defined the clouds a bit more.
Now there's a few small boids in the sky as well.

It's so simplistic and purple-y! I likes it lots!  ;D

Though I think the outline on the bird is a bit too strong.

When I first looked at the picture it looked more like fire and smoke than a sunset. But it still looks really good.

Nice one. How about adding some more 2-3 pixel sized birds in the sky? It would emphasize the fact of it being a sky and would also tie the bird as an element more tightly into the scene.

Thanks everyone. I feel a lot better about the pic now, and i think i learned a lot of things staring at other people's pixels on this forum.
I put the latest on the top. I'ma call it finished and start on the next one.
