Hello (and advice required)

on: January 19, 2007, 12:27:33 am
Hello,

Just like to introduce myself, I'm the developer (coder and some art) of QWAK, recently ported to GBA, check out www.QWAK.co.uk.

I have a new version of the game in development for the PC, and I'm doing my own art ....

Owch, it's hard work!

I'm looking for some insperation for tilesets, are there any links? Something simple, clean, clourful, interesting and elegant should do it.

if I understand right, this will be the same game as Qwak and it needs for a grid-ish layout right?

in that case,Klonoa is a good match for your game, I think the GBA and DS Kirby games are too.

Hello!!

Yes that's correct, it's the new (much updated) PC version. It is very 'blocky' and so everything needs to be arranged on a 32*32 pixel grid.

Thanks for the link. I'm not about to copy anything, just want get some ideas on what's been done before and what's possible.

I think I'll have a play around with Pro-Motion, see what I can come up with.
