WIP- Warrior Robot

on: January 06, 2007, 01:53:45 am

Latest thing I've been working on; a sprite request by my friend.  I can't seem to get the hands right.  I meant for the fingers to look like they are hanging, slightly curved.  But it just turned out flat.  Maybe a fist would look better?

BTW, he is meant to have no elbows. ;D

EDIT: Progress Update..

I like the palette. The thing coming out of the top of the head, not sure what it is. To me it looks like its a block
with some kind of perspective. If thats the case, you should probably get rid of the perspective, because the rest of the robot
is straight on. If they are buildings in the background (you can keep perspective) but maybe you should use lighter colors to help distinguish it from the robot. I really
like the head and chest, but his right arm is not as good. I don't think the top section is shaded correctly. Also it seems too short (it
would be useless at that length).

Fixed?

The thing coming out of the head was supposed to be like the top of a roman helmet.  Guess I made it too straight the first time.  The block coming out of his shoulder is a piece of metal..  just to make him look more interesting.  I tried to make the block flat, but it turned out awkward.

I don't think the blocks fit, but maybe you could put a little human scientist on his shoulder for interest.

I don't know how I should make his feet look more flat on the ground...
