Though not technically lacking from anything i can see, you're wastign a lot of colors and have a complete lack of contrast.

16 -> 8 colors
I couldn't manage to perfectly preserve the personality of the character with the quick palette swap, so he became a tad grittier.
I also tried using the green and red to fill in in other places lacking hue difference over large areas.

I don't know where you got 16 colors.
There's only 12.

Sorry man, but your edit does nothing for me.
You speak about contrast, yet you fail to show me what you mean with an edit that makes every thing just look dirtier.

In my new edit, I realized the eyes were white.
So to cut the palette down, I changed them to the lightest skin color.

I really like it so far. Have you tried a version without a black outline? I think that'd help it a lot.. if you're going for a more cartoony look, at least change it to a darker blue. Right now the black seems harsh.

Too noisy, man. Good line art, and color selection, but things are kinda hard to define. I understand what the previous comment about contrast was about, but I think he added too much. IMO, I think with darker skin tones, and slight cleaning up of lines, would make this much better looking... I just changed up the skin tones, and cleaned up the lines a bit:

Double post.
But it has updates!  ;D

Alright, I studied B.O.B.'s edit.
And was able to come up with...

(I stole your palette)

Might change the colors but I like it how it is right now.

Playing around with the palette.

Oooh, that's hot.

Looks much better, in my opinion. And I know you're gonna say it's a pink outfit, but I'm gonna say it's purple, just cuz purple rules too much arse.

Lookin' sharp...

I actually prefer the green one, the most. It reminds me of Zelda, wearing that Mario frog suit.(I forget it's specific name)...looks good though..

Any further crits on the peice?
I'm thinking about trying to incorperate a background with this one.

Which colors do everyone like best?  ???

I prefer the green one. The green palette looks like he's wearing clothes, the purple one looks like he's wearing a costume.

I'm really diggin' that green one. I got a couple crits (though they are very small, and sorta a matter of artistic choice).
I think that the guy's facial expression is bored/depressed, and I don't think anybody who's tagging feels like that when they are doing so, instead, they are kinda nervous (gotta watch for them pigs  :hehe:).
Also, the spray coming out of the can looks very...messy, like its going all over and all coming out at once...I'd make it more of a funnel.
Again, just minor discrepancies; It's a great piece otherwise. Good job!
