Well, this is a good start. The colors and dithering are good. One thing that sticks out though, is the shading , especially :-*on the lamp shade; you've got light coming from all over. You've got a couple of options: you could pick a light source (I usually just pic a corner), or, since its a lamp head, you could have the light come from the head, down.
Then I have some questions: what happened to his right arm? And, how come no legs
