Introduction /Tactical Sprite

on: January 23, 2007, 07:16:47 am
Hello, first time posting here.. been a lurker for awhile now.

I'm not necessarily new to pixel art, i've been doing it off and on as a hobby since around 98'.  But i've never been active in a community dedicated to the art, so i'm hoping that I will be able to improve greatly with the help of everyone here (some very AMAZING stuff.. i've never even attempted pixel art outside of sprites and tiles, I love a lot of your portraits.)  I'm going through school as a traditional animator right now (2nd year) so i'm hoping that will help as well.

Anyhow, this is my first sprite in awhile.  During the Christmas break I was playing a lot of Final Fantasy Tactics and Disgaea, so I thought i'd try my hand at a tactical sprite.

It started out as a pirate... then somehow ended up as a farmer/cowboy type dealo.  I guess that's just how it happens sometime... Any C+C would be greatly appreciated, what i'm having the most trouble with (and usually do) is the legs/feet.  Thanks!
