Trying to improve

on: July 14, 2018, 01:24:43 am
I've always been a fan of pixel art, but I've never tried one, so I tried one today, but I really did not like the result, could you help me improve ?  I think I can do a lot more . I really want to learn ... but I think it only learns with trying and error.

I accept tips and criticism  :)

I will see some videos (tutorials) and I will keep this post for myself and for anyone who wants to see my progress  :)

vary the heights of the pillars more and perhaps thin them out a bit, have some forest peeking out between them. It'll give them some more visual interest as well as place them in the scene better.

Adding some tree-tops in front of them around the base would also help establish scale and perspective!

Needs more work separating the background from foreground. The light-things are drawing all that attention to themselves because the all contrast is in that zone. Could be a neat surreal thing but there's some work to be done there.

Will make edit.
