mccow28: the normal brushes are located at the very top of the toolbox. i don't know what the random tiled background is though. screenshot maybe?
Why did I not even think of clicking those?  :-[
For the background tiling, it's really hard to duplicate. So no screenshot, I'll just be a little more careful with what I do on the program. Yay for a lesson learned.

You should stick around for a little bit, Wolverine. See if it feels more like home this time around.

Ain't been too bad so far.  I'm trying not to get too involved mainly cos I'm still recovering from various health problems and extreme stress levels and even the smallest annoyance winds me up like crazy.  I ain't gonna be posting much art if any at all, mainly cos I'm at the stage where I just do it for me and have so much I wanna do I'd rather just get it all done and into games and get them out there rather than spending time doing adjustments based on other peoples opinions.  If it looks good to me, then I'm happy.  I'm more into the actual game creation aspects these days than pixel perfect art.  Anyways this place does feel better than Pixelopolis I guess.  And theres been some darn fine community stuff appear like that big tiled Iso piece (don't usually like iso work much cos it's usually just simple crap but that was just beautiful) and I had a bit of fun doing the avatar fad thing (which I'm probably gonna put in one of my retro games).  Yeah.. it's not too bad a place.
keep on moving, lil dude...

I wonder if there's an equivalent to pixel art in the writing community.

"Write a story using 16 words >: ("

That would be pants.

55 words is a famous one.  Exercises like that are used a lot... any arbitrary amount of words works, but 100 and 250 words are also common.

Haha, that's really cool.

The majority of the stories are made up mostly of dialogue, with a twist (like piranhas or bigamy) at the end. Each one takes about ten seconds maximum to read. There's love (a werewolf has a tendency to kill his girlfriends on the full moon), murder (a sex kitten turns out to be a hit woman), terrible puns ("Abra-cadaver!") and sex ("Brenda promised the horizontal hokey-pokey if he wore a chicken suit and spoke French").

Completely off topic, but what programs do people recommend for making fighting games? A friend told me MUGEN was good, but I have no clue what my options are. ???
