Worked on this for quite a bit, wonder what others think. I shrunk a selfportrait and plotted out dimensions with it, using broad pixel swathes, then detailing.

Thats pretty nice man, i like the way you shaded it. And the use of colours is great, its pretty much unique to all the others fad avatars.

Nice one. I think "his" left cheek is shaded a little to dark though.

VERY realistic and groovy looking. The only thing that seems off to me is the glasses. They look kind of dented on the right (our right) lens and so it makes it look odd. It'd try to make the glasses not look so disheveled.

XD, well now my suggestion would be to do some dithering on the right (our right) eye. It looks slightly caved in with the one dark shade.
