Poll

Would you actually attend a Pixel-Con if such an event existed?

I'm there!
If it's based in US, yes.
If it's based in Europe, yes.
I'd like to, but improbable.
No, thanks.
Interact with other people? Yuck!

Pixel-Con Poll

on: November 12, 2006, 07:41:32 am
Curious what kind of interest there is in the possibility of a pixel art convention, with game developers, pixelers, advertising/support groups all under the same roof... Please be realistic about your answers. Is this a good or bad idea? Would you attend?

Hmmmmm... perhaps, honestly I couldn't see it happening though
I cant really see what purpose it would serve that the internet doesn't already do either

If its in europe i'd go.  I think france would be a good choice, because all us UK'ers can jump on a train and be home for tea.  Although i don't think any of the US would travel that far.

As much as I'd like to, it's improbable (travel expenses and time). But I'd certainly love to be in one.

I'd go in europe, given good management, good activities and most importantly, good turn-out.

If there was such thing in Europe, I would definitely like it, but the chance for me to actually go is like 2:10.

I Probly Wouldnt happen though, because of reasons said before. People live in tons and tons of different countries, and to tell the truth there really arent that many peopel that know of pixel art or if they do the dont use it, It's kind of like click away from reality were theres a little group of friends that live all around the world. but it would be cool if some one made a pixelart convention game where you could like set up you own stand and have all the images of your work there, You could design your own character. That would probobly be the only way, sorry. But if it could then hell, count me in!

I'd probably go only if it was really close to me, like in my state. Other than that probably not.

AUSTRALIAN PIXEL-CON!
Back from hiatus, just remembered how excellent this community is at forming technique in a fledgeling artist of any kind.

If it was local (Los Angeles), probably. But I wouldn't travel for it. Maybe if there were a few famous artists or interesting seminars/workshops.

Switch Europe to the States for me and that pretty much sums it up.

What it would take to convince me of those three things would be years of preparation, which would be years away from where we're at now. :p

I'd love to, but living in South America (most precisely Brazil) makes it improbable.
