junkophiles convention

on: November 09, 2006, 05:50:07 am
hai gusy

First try I've ever had at overhead tiles. Person I made them for (you know who you are :p) doesn't need them so if anyone else does feel free. Not that anyone would want this crap. XD

Yes it was an RPG, F U.
Main Characters
'Phobe':
'Holden':

Animals

NPCs

Enemies

Misc.

Tiles that never really got started:

Awesome dump!  The Phobe reminds me of Shadow of the Colossus or ICO.  I'd love to see them in a game, too.  The grass tiles blew me away; I mean, I'd never have the patience for something like that, but it definitely looks like it pays off.

The guy wobbling left and right under "Enemies," was he actually pixelled in each frame or just rotated because it gets awfully jagged on each side.

So many more I'd like to mention.  Looking good!

Why do they all look like they've been resized and stretched around?

Nice stuff! Is the very bottom one a zombie?
Modern artists are told that they must create something totally original-or risk being called "derivative".They've been indoctrinated with the concept that bad=good. The effect is always the same: Meaningless primitivism

some very cool stuff here, i really like phobe although his animations play a bit too fast, really reminds me of ico
also, it looks like you resize a lot of work then re-work it, no?

Right on the money, TakaM. Only I don't rework much, if at all. I'll probably look back it in a few years and be all "Eh?" but for now I like it.

Thanks for the comments.
