how can I set my avatar?

It says to insert the image URL and I typed an imgur link,but it doesn't work.I already tried to look on the FAQ

What was your imgur link? It's possible that you picked the wrong URL and linked the HTML page the image is on, rather than the image itself. The imgur URL should end in an image extension, or it's not an image.
