Awesome piece =)

The only two things I woud fix - make lower lip bottom line less defined to the ends, now it feels that her lower lip a bit far foward then could be;
And lift eye brows a little up, it would give more girlish look.=)

Her ears are also too high.
I have rather normally sized/positioned ears, and mine end just under my nose.

But seriously, it's quite ready. Release teh background!!1 ::)

Thats ok i don't think she'd accept you as a boyfriend.

I don't think it needs a background - its great.  Aweseom palette.

Edited the creases, added highlight on left side and darkened area around crease on right. Added a little white to her teeth which were a little lackluster. Toyed with ambient lighting to make a little more noticable. Edited cheek to nose transition on dark side.

Things the edit didn't adress because I'm lazy

-Her neck is stil too small across. When I tried to make the proportion more realistic, she assumed the muscleman neck, and I realized her neck was a bit too long. Try to shorten and widen it.

-The seperation of a real smile from a fake one is the eyes. Right now, the smile doesn't seem to affect her eyes, and what she has now opticaly would look more fitting to a straightlipped expression. Look at your smiling reference. She alsmot assumes the anime style ^_^ thing. Don't really do that, but a real smile will narrow your eyes a bit.

Her hair isn't very thick right now, it seems to be hanging from her scalp very sparesly. I like the outline of hairs and on the shoudlers, but combine that with the original thickness you had, it will make her look more healthy.

Keep it up, Ter.

I'll point out anything I can. :)

Unless you're aiming for a realistic look, I think that the eyes are a bit too large, though it does fit a cartoon-ish style if that's what the goal is. The piece would look more pulled together if, when detailing the neck, you kept the dither-shading a little bit consistent. The nose (around the bottom/in between the nostrils) looks very thin compared to how much the nostrils protrude.

That's all that stood out to me, I hope I'm not looking too much at stuff that you're purposely keeping. :P
