[FILLED] Title Screen Character

Hello,

I'm looking for someone to make the character of my title screen. Obviously, the art created would be exclusive and not to be distributed in other projects/jobs.

1.What I'm looking for.
 I'm looking for something like this from Mandrill:

It doesn't have to be this style but this is just to explain that I want just the upper part of a body so to speak.

I want a zombie/undead in this position:


*But with their fingers burrowing into their rotting flesh.
*eyes should be dead but looking upwards.
*Both hands on both sides should be seen.
*No mirroring.

2. Dimensions:
300x300

3. Palette limitation
Only palette limitation is the background color:


None but it should keep true to the spirit of pixel art so avoid going overboard.

You don't have to do a green zombie, as long as it looks undead.

4. How to apply?

1. A rough draft of what you have in mind (that's what I'll use to decide who I hire for this commission).

2. Quote me a price of how much you'd like for the job (You need to have a paypal. Inform me whether or not you agree to do make modifications to the final version if necessary.

At 300 by 300 you might have better luck looking for an illustrator to give you an avatar. 128x128 or if you need it a round number, 100x100 is massive for something like this but would actually look like pixel art. Consider that a little. Also... Asking for people to work for free as a way for you to decide isn't going to help you a lot.

What you might want to do is, if you actually need it at 300x300, go on a concept art or illustration forum and start a mini-design contest for it, the selected piece recieves your payment. Some forums actually have sections for this too.

That's the best way if you want 'x' amount of people to work for free and you pick the best one.

If you can accept something lower resolution you'll get the desired pixel art look though, and people might be more willing to throw something together for free, a 300x300 sprite will take many quite a while, and to do it just on the off chance that you like their idea of it more than the next guy. You're hurting yourself by requesting that, people will take a stab at it but many will just click on to the next post or look elsewhere instead. Just consider these things... Good Luck.

The position has actually been filled and I had people providing sketches. I don't expect much from a sketch, 10 minutes at most is fine. Honestly, for me it's more of a demonstration of a person's drive than the actual sketch. I think that 10 or 15 minutes is a reasonable request. Sketches can also be done on paper and scanned.

I automatically rejected applications from people without sketches as it was part of the job's requirement.

I don't doubt people will do it, but was just saying that it would turn some away unless you were clearer about it in the initial post, glad you found someone.
