I am new to pixel art and I am trying to improve my work.

Shading is quite off, it seems you have 3 light sources on this one character

Thanks for your reply. I'll try and fix it to have one light source. Do you have any suggestions on where to start?

usually people have a light source angled from the upper right corner, try it that way :y:
